Egypt: Interior Ministry - Threats By MB Terrorists Foiled, 74 Rioters Detained

The Interior Ministry said on Wednesday 19/3/2014 that all threats impelled by the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood (MB) have been foiled as police security forces arrested 74 rioters nationwide.

According to a statement, the ministry asserted the effective security deployment in the country to address all threats made by the MB aggressive actions.

In some universities, police arrested 24 people, the ministry said. Also, the police in Bani Sweif thwarted an attempt by MB members to hinder train movement.

Meantime, four police officers were injured in a security operation in el-Mataria district in northern Cairo.

As many as 34 people were arrested in Beheira, Damietta, Assiut and Sharikia, the ministry added.
