Sokoto — A 21-member regional conflict management and mitigation council was yesterday inaugurated in Sokoto State as part of efforts towards strengthening peace in the state. It was formed under the Kaduna -based Interfaith Mediation Council.
Governor Aliyu Wamakko who was represented by the Religious Affairs Commissioner, Prof. Musa Maitafsir at the inauguration harped on religious tolerance among Nigerians, stressing that religion should not be used to divide the country, and every Nigerian should be free to practice his chosen faith.
