Nigeria: Group Says Its Exclusion Already Haunting Conference

The Movement for National Reformation (MNR) has said the crisis of confidence rocking the ongoing national conference is as a result of its exclusion from the confab, hence the ghosts of its founding fathers, late Anthony Enahoro, Abraham Adesanya and Mokwugo Okoye, will continue to haunt the gathering.

The group in a statement issued by its protem chairman, Chief Diran Fagbohungbe in Abuja yesterday, a copy of which was made available to LEADERSHIP Friday, said it made the first call for the convocation of a sovereign national conference 25 years ago in Benin City, Edo State, only for a national conference to be convened excluding the group once headed by renowned nationalist, Enahoro.
