Ethiopia: Dr Tedros Holds Talk With Cuban Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister, Dr. Tedros Adhanom held discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Eduardo Rodríguez Parrilla on Thursday (March 20). The discussions covered areas ranging from regional to international issues. Dr. Tedros noted the long and close historical relationship between Cuba and Ethiopia, and used this opportunity to express his appreciation to the government of Cuba for the support on health and agricultural sectors. He called for the relationship to expand into other economic areas. Cuban Foreign Minister Eduardo Rodríguez noted that South-South relation should be further strengthened through bilateral and multilateral fora. He also briefed Dr Tedros about the recent Latin America and Caribbean Summit hosted by Cuba and on regional issues.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Eduardo Rodríguez Parrilla is making an official African tour to Nigeria, Djibouti, Ghana and Equatorial Guinea.
