Zimbabwe/Nigeria: How Mine Edge Nigeria's Bayelsa United

HOW Mine needed an injury time penalty from Mernard Mupera to subdue Bayelsa of Nigeria in the Orange Caf Confederation Cup second round, first leg at Barbourfields on Saturday.

After playing a goalless 45 minutes, How Mine went a goal down four minutes after the breather when Okorowa Adogoke easily converted unmarked from inside the box.

The hosts fought back with Morris Kadzola hitting the back of the net in the 72nd minute.

Kuda Musharu had an effort cleared off the line as How Mine sought the winner.

Bayelsa were content with sitting back and defending their lone goal but paid dearly in the 92nd minute when they conceded a penalty.

Mupera converted to give the hosts a slender lead ahead of next weekend's return leg in Bayelsa State.
