FOR those of you who travel the world, you would know that in the days gone by there was no way of travelling from Dar es Salaam, in East Africa, to any destination in Francophone West Africa, without connecting through Europe, more often than not, Paris or Amsterdam.
The distance from Dar es Salaam, for that reason, to Yaoundé in Cameroon would ordinarily be 3,305 km driving or less by air.
