Nigeria: Road to Madina and Mada'in Salih

Alhamdu Lillah, all praise is to Almighty God for instilling in me the love of travel, and who keeps throwing the opportunities to do so my way - sometimes effortlessly. This, in some ways to me, contradicts the saying; 'you can't eat your cake and have it'. In any case, I have never really completely agreed with that English saying anyway. If you don't agree with me - and you don't have to - substitute the word 'cake' with something inedible and see what happens.

Anyway, an argument on English proverbs is not the reason for this piece. The subject is 'Madina and Mada'in Salih', and since we are talking Madina, you will find me going spiritual as you read along.
