Angola: National Statistics System Essential Component of Institutional Infrastructure - Minister

Minister of Planning and Territory Development, Job Graça, said on Tuesday in Luanda that the national statistics system is an essential components for the institutional infrastructure of any modern State.

The official was speaking at the opening of the International Cconference on National Accounts organised by the National Institute of Statistics (INE).

According to Job Graça, the effective national statistics systems, economic decisions and drafting of public policies have the most rationality and promote effectiveness, efficiency and affectivity of allocation of scarce resources.

The International Conference on National Accounts is aimed to consolidate the process of drafting of the National Accounts through a better progress of statistics, phased application of National Customs Services as well as exchange of experience with other countries, seeking the contribution to the development of the National Statistics Systems.
