Egypt: Presidential Elections to Start May 26

Cairo — Egypt's presidential elections will run on May 26 and 27, the elections commission said in a press conference on Sunday.

Candidates can register from Monday, March 31, until April 20, the commission said earlier.

The winner of the elections will be announced on June 26 following the re-runs which will be held on June 16 and 17.

Presidential campaigns will begin on May 3 and end on May 23.

Egyptians living abroad will vote from May 15 to 18 and from June 6 to 9 in the re-runs.
