Tanzania: Exploration Firms Want Appeal Court to Hold High Court Decision

TWO applicants have gone to the Court of Appeal to oppose the attempt by two respondents to block the hearing of a case involving oil and gas exploration at Ruvu Basin, which is pending at the High Court's Commercial Division.

Dodsal Hydrocarbons and Power Tanzania PVT Limited and Rajan Arvind Kilachand filed an application at the Appeals Court, seeking orders to strike out the notice of appeal filed by the respondents, Mitras International Trading LLC and Hasmukh Bhagwanji Masrani, against a High Court's decision.
