Kenya: Grenade Found Inside Lamu Church
There was panic in Mpeketoni, Lamu County when a hand grenade was found inside a church on Sunday morning. Area police boss Joseph Sigei said the church service at the African Independent Pentecostal church was about to start when the pastor stumbled on the device which was under a table.
Speaking to the Star in Lamu, Sigei said the explosive was a 200 grams grenade. He said experts and anti-terror police officers have collected the grenade for detonation and investigation. "It's was lethal and It could have caused damages if it had exploded. We have secured it for detonation," said Sigei.
