Tanzania: Kinana Starts Tour of Rukwa Region On Sunday

Sumbawanga — CCM Secretary General, Mr Abdulrahman Kinana is expected to arrive at Sumbawanga Airport today to start a seven day working tour of Rukwa region.

Rukwa CCM Region Ideology and Publicity Secretary, Mr Clement Bakuli, said during a press conference at CCM Regional Headquarters here in the municipality.

He said that upon arrival, Mr Kinana will be met at the Sumbawanga Airport by several CCM regional leaders as well as government officials, religious leaders as well as the general public.

During his seven day tour of the region, Mr Kinana and his entourage are expected to inspect several projects which are in the CCM election manifesto in all the three districts of the region and they are are Nkasi, Sumbawanga and Kalambo.

According to Mr Bakuli, the secretary general will also take part in the construction of hostels for girls at Ilemba Secondary School along the Lake Rukwa Basin in Sumbawanga District, an office block for ward executive office at Kabwe on the shores of Lake Tanganyika in Nkasi District as well an operating theatre at Wampembe Health Centre in Nkasi District.

Mr Kinana will also greet the public and address several public rallies in all the three districts as part of his itinerary and will receive regional and district development reports.

On April 5, Mr Kinana, while in Sumbawanga, is scheduled to meet with religious leaders and later in the afternoon will address a public rally outside the Nelson Mandela grounds. According to Mr Bakuli, the CCM secretary general is expected to wind up his tour on April 6.
