Kenya: TNA Demands Monthly Contribution From MCAs

The National Alliance party has warned its members that they risk bring de-whipped if they do not remit monthly contributions to the party. Speaking in Nakuru on Friday, TNA's executive director Joseph Mathai said both nominated and elected MCAs are exepcted to remit a Sh3,000 monthly contribution to assist the party carry out all its functions.

A dewhipped member of the county assembly would lose his or her party's sponsorship and can therefore not sit in any house committee.
