Arusha — NEARLY 1,000 people have been rendered homeless after floods swept their houses in the Bwawani ward of Arusha Rural District, following heavy downpours that hit most parts of the region over the weekend.
The District Executive Director, Mr Fidelist Lumato, explained here that a total of 72 families with over 870 members lost their homes in Themi, Simba and Bwawani villages within the ward when the overwhelming precipitation caused floods in the area.
