Kenya: Arid Areas Get Sh337 Million

Five counties in arid and semi-arid areas in Kenya are set to benefit from a Sh337 million to undertake home-grown climate change mitigating projects. The Climate Adaptation Fund is meant to strengthen adaptation and build resilience ofvcommunities to climate change. The targeted counties are Kitui, Garissa,Wajir, Isiolo and Makueni.
The programme being implemented by The Adaptation Consortium in partnership with National Drought Management was launched on Thursday at Katutu market.
