Tunisia: National Dialogue to Resume Next Week - Mouldi Jendoubi

Tunis — Deputy Secretary-General of the Tunisian General Labour Union (UGTT) Mouldi Jendoubi announced, Friday, that the quartet sponsoring the National Dialogue will discuss, next week, at a meeting with several party leaders, the line up of group to monitor government action and the implementation of the roadmap.

In a statement to TAP news agency, on the fringes of a regional conference on the "Legal Empowerment of the Poor" held in Tunis, Mouldi Jendoubi said the national dialogue was suspended to allow the discussion at the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) committee stage of the draft electoral law.

The dialogue will resume next week to discuss points of divergence on this draft.

The NCA will hold a plenary session next April 7-8 to examine this draft law.
