Lagos — No question, the rising cases of building collapse across the country with scores deaths and injuries is denting the built industry's image.

Several reasons have been put forth as major causes of this scandalizing situation. Dominant among these reasons are poor quality materials - cement, iron rods, sand etc- and poor mixtures. Cement is a major component of any building and the most used commodity too. Thus low grade cement has been fingered as a great contributor to building collapse.
