Nairobi — At least five people were killed on Monday night when grenades were hurled at a food kiosk and bus stop in Nairobi’s Eastleigh area.

Police said several people were wounded in the explosions that occurred at Joska, which has been the scene of previous explosions. Witnesses said they heard three explosions on the street.

Emergency crews immediately scrambled to the scene, which is in the same estate where a suspected terrorist died on Sunday as an Improvised Explosive Device he was assembling exploded.
