Nigeria: At Last, FCT Hausa Community Gets Leader

Hausa leaders in 13 traditional chiefdoms of the Federal Capital Territory Saturday converged on the palace of Ona of Abaji, Alhaji Adamu Baba Yunusa, who is the chairman of the FCT traditional council, to elect the new Sarkin Hausawa of Abuja.

The Hausa community in the FCT has been without a leader since February 28, 2012, following the death of its past leader, Alhaji Ahmad Grema, after a prolonged sickness.
