Leena Mahongo, a former TB patient from Shikaduka Village in Rundu, says when she contracted the disease in 2006, people thought she was HIV positive.
Speaking at the World Tuberculosis Day (TB) Day in Windhoek last week, Mahongo says had it not been for a friend who advised her to seek treatment, she could have died for lack of knowledge about the disease.
