Cairo — Two people were killed and at least five were wounded in three bomb attacks near Cairo University on Wednesday.

A police officer was killed in a twin explosion earlier while another was just reported dead by Reuters.

Attacks on security forces have increased since the ouster of President Mohamed Mursi of the Muslim Brotherhood last year.

The university has ordered the evacuation of the campus.
