Eritrea: Southern Red Sea Region - Call Made for Further Popularization of Cultural Values With a View to Lowering Instances of Crime

Assab — The Administration of the Police Force in the Southern Red Sea region called for further popularization of cultural values with a view to lowering instances of crime. It made the call at a meeting with the residents of Eddi semi-urban center, Central Denkalia sub-zone, during which it was stated that communal spirit of tolerance and negative attitude against crimes is positively correlated with the national cultures.

Lt. Colonel Girmai Gebremichael, Head of crime prevention in the region, called on nationals to play their due role as regards safeguarding peace and security through combating instances of crime, and explained the vitality of enhanced community-Police relations, as well as nurturing virtuous youths in this connection. He also stated that intensive promotional activities would be conducted in a bid to inspire communal awareness on law and police relations.
