Nigeria: House Urges Govt to Provide Relief to Victims of Benue Attacks

In the wake of the purported attacks by Fulani herdsmen on farmers in various communities in Benue State, the House of Representatives yesterday urged the federal government to provide succour to the victims by compensating them for their loss of farmlands and crops.

The House, while considering a motion moved by Hon Christiana Alaaga (PDP, Benue) on the need to stop nomadic herdsmen from attacking and occupying the farmers ancestral, condemned the killings and maiming by the herdsmen.
