Terminal operators in the nation's seaports have raised the alarm over the continuous diversion of rice to ports located in Nigeria's neighbouring countries.
The terminal operators who took over the day-to-day running of the nation's seaports, following the economic reforms which led to the concession of the port ion 2006, said not less than 150 ship load of rice have been diverted to neighbouring countries, especially the Republic of Benin, Ghana, Togo and Cameroon in the last three months.
