Somalia: Bomb-Making Accident Claims Three Al Shabaab Fighters

El Bur — At least three Al Shabaab fighters were killed and another was injured in a bomb-making accident in the outskirts of Galgaduud region town of Gal Hareri of central Somalia on Friday, Garowe Online reports.

According to Gal Hareri residents, plumes of black smoke could be seen over the scene of the blast which occurred shortly before Friday prayers. According to independent sources, the wounded has been taken to unknown vicinity.

Federal Government of Somalia and Al Shabaab officials haven't spoken on the deadly incident that dealt blow to the Al Qaeda affiliated fighters.

Gal Hareri, 100km west of the newly liberated Galgaduud regional district of El Bur remains under the control of the beleaguered Somali militant group of Al Shabaab.

As the presence of soldiers was beefed up in and around military targets and soft structures, Al Shabaab continues to claim credit for wave of deadly attacks, explosions and military style ambushes, largely in Mogadishu.
