Liberia: NTA Bus Rams Commercial Transport Car, Several Injured

Monrovia — Several passengers suffered injuries Sunday when a 48-seater (45 standing) Ashok Leyland NTA transport bus ran into a Hyundai 18-seater minivan near the Bong Mine Bridge. The accident drew onlookers, many expressing shock at the crash which led many passengers to the hospital.

Sam Marshall, an eyewitness, with blood stains on his T-Shirt who says he helped take some of the passengers from the minivan into a taxi for transport to the hospital said, nearly all of the 18 passengers in the minivan were seriously injured but non fatal. "Only the carboy, we do not know whether he lives or he dies. But the driver and the passengers they all got hurt," Marshall explained.
