The World Health Day is celebrated every year on April 7th, under the sponsorship of the World Health Organization (WHO), due to the concern of its member states in alerting the population on the main problems that can affect them.
In 1948, the WHO held the First World Health Assembly. The Assembly decided to celebrate 7th April of each year, with effect from 1950, as the World Health Day.
