Sudan: Arson Suspected in Central Darfur's Hassahissa Camp

Zalingei Locality — Several fires that broke out in the Hassahissa camp for the displaced, Zalingei locality in Central Darfur during the last three days destroyed the full contents of 16 homes and a large part of the camp's mosque.

Speaking to Radio Dabanga, the coordinator of the Central Darfur camps reported that a fire that broke out on Saturday night at Block 8 in the south-eastern section of the camp, destroyed six shelters. A fire on Sunday night burned seven homes to ashes, and a third fire, on Monday, destroyed three houses, and damaged a large part of the camp's mosque.
