Nigeria: Confab - SSS Detains Reporter Over Brawl Report

A story published by Daily Sun yesterday over exchange of blows between operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS) and Nigeria Police at the venue of the National Conference on Tuesday has resulted in the arrest of a deputy editor with the daily, Iheanacho Nwosu, as he was detained briefly yesterday afternoon by the DSS operatives.

Nwosu, who is one of the accredited journalists covering proceedings at the conference, was picked up by the operatives at about 2pm and taken to their office within the National Judicial Institute (NJI) venue of the conference.
