Nigeria: Zamfara Spends N40 Million On Security Personnel Monthly

The deputy governor of Zamfara State, Alhaji Ibrahim Wakkala Muhammad, said yesterday that over N40 million is expended monthly on logistics and payment of allowances to security personnel in the state.

Speaking at the Inspector General of Police peace and security committee meeting in Gusau, Wakkala said in the past two and half years, the present administration has purchased 150 patrol vehicles for the police, 30 for the army, ten for the Civil Defence Corps and Road Safety Corps and 18 for vigilante groups.
