Angola: Lack of Market Hinders Coffee Production

The lack of market for coffee trading is limitating the increase of production and enlarging the areas of plantation, said on Thursday, the coffee producers in Macuba municipality, 66 kilometers in northern Uige province.

Speaking to Angop, the coffee producer, Jorge Wimbo, said that many peasants of municipality prefer produce in small quantity due to lack of market that may absorb the production. According to coffee producer, the lack of policies for revitalization of coffee culture has been discouraging many peasants in the region in boosting the coffee production.
