Namibia: Miss Vilakazi to Be Chosen

Vilakazi Lounge in collaboration with Lira Entertainment is hosting the first ever Miss Vilakazi 2014 beauty pageant on April 19 at Vilakazi lounge in Walvis Bay. The pageant themed, "Beauty against passion killing" will feature the likes of Gazza, Sally and Blacksheep. "We want to empower young women through the beauty pageant as we all know beauty and fashion is a key to every young woman's heart," says Rousa Shikoha, the organiser. She adds that they have come up with the event to try and find possible solutions to decrease the high rates of passion killing. "This beautiful young women will undergo a three-week research programme with the Ministry of Gender Equality and Child Welfare and The International University of Management (IUM) Debate Society Club to find the root causes of passion killing that is affecting our Nation," says Shikoha.

The young lady that will be crown Miss Vilakazi 2014 will automatically qualify for the top 20 finalists of the Miss Tourism Namibia beauty pageant that will be held in June.
