Malawi: Child Labour Still Rampant in Malawi Despite Several Interventions

Ntcheu — The Ministry of Labour has expressed concern over continued child labour practices in the country despite Government's and development partners' efforts to stamp out the malpractice.

Speaking recently during the training workshop for members of Ntcheu District Child Labour Committee, the Chief Labour Officer in the Ministry of Labour, Paul Gondwe said elimination of child labour remains a challenge in Malawi due to several factors such as poverty, social and cultural practices.
