NRM's selection of Rebecca Nalwanga to be the party flag bearer in the by-election for Luweero Woman MP has angered other aspirants within the party.
Nalwanga, a losing candidate in a previous by-election won by Brenda Nabukenya, was picked by the Luweero district NRM executive, ahead of Lillian Nakate and Ritah Mugalu, who had expressed interest in the seat. The seat fell vacant following a March 27 Court of Appeal ruling that nullified Nabukenya's election.
