Asmara — The National Confederation of Eritrean Workers and (NCEW) and Federation of the Associations of Professional Workers in the Sudanese Red Sea region conducted a joint meeting in the port city of Massawa and revised the agreements reached by them in 2008 in a bid to enhance bilateral relations.
The agreement which was signed in Red Sea Hotel pertains to maintaining common decisions and mutual stances in regional as well as international courts, exchange of experience, organizing awareness-raising programs for employees of sides and furthering partnership, as well as inspiring integrated efforts with a view to ensuring peace and sustainable development in our region.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Haile Petros from the NCEW's branch in the Northern Red Sea region and Mr. Yasir Ibrahim, Chairman of the Sudanese federation.
Both sides explained that the document was signed in line with the professional agreements reached between both countries so as to enhance bilateral relations.
Meanwhile, members and administrative staff of the Associations of Professional Workers in the Sudanese Red Sea region met Ms. Tsigereda Woldegiorgis, Administrative of the Northern Red Sea region, and lauded the endeavors being made on both sides to further develop the historical ties between Eritrea and Sudan.
In the course of their stay in Massawa, the 40 members of the Sudanese Federation visited the training center of the NCEW's branch and historical sites in the port city.
