Tunisia: Foreign Minister - Youssef Qaradhaoui Is Not in Tunisia

Carthage — The recent Tunisian diplomatic activities as well as the ones scheduled for the coming period were at centre of a meeting which Caretaker President Moncef Marzouki had, Friday, with Foreign Minister Mongi Hamdi.

The Minister said, at the end of the talk, that media reports according to which Head of the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS) Youssef Qaradhaoui would have arrived to Tunisia are baseless, reads a Presidency press release on Friday.

This issue had never been raised during the meeting of the President of the Republic with the Emir of Qatar during his recent visit to Tunisia, the Minister affirmed.

Some Tunisian and foreign media and news websites spoke of the possible settlement of Qaradhaoui in Tunisia.
