Africa Wants 26-Member Expanded UN Security Council - Diplomat

Egyptian envoy to the United Nations in New York ambassador Moataz Ahmadeen Khalil delivered Egypt's speech on Friday before a meeting of the governmental negotiations about reforming and expanding the UN Security Council (UNSC).

The Egyptian diplomat stressed that Africa demands that the number of members of the expanded UNSC be not less than 26 members to guarantee a fair geographical representation and to lift "injustice" against Africa.
