Eritrea: Inhabitants of Emini-Haili Sub-Zone Engage in Popular Undertaking With a View to Raising Agricultural Outcome

Dirko — The inhabitants of Emini-Haili sub-zone are engaged in a popular undertaking with a view to raising the agricultural output on the basis of constructing terraces, water catchment as well as preparation of farmland.

The inhabitants indicated that a remarkable communal awareness prevails to this end, and assured that they would continue engaging in such undertakings in a more organized manner.

Mr. Niguse Weldemichael, head of the Agricultural Ministry's branch in the sub-zone, expressed appreciation for the active community participation demonstrated in the venture, and called on the community members to extend a helping in preservation of trees.
