West Africa: WAEC to Ban Cheats From Future Exams

Lagos — The Nigerian Examinations Committee (NEC) of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has mandated the examination body to ban for a number of years, any candidate caught cheating in its annual examinations.

This is one of the positions taken at the end of the 57th NEC meeting of WAEC held in Lagos. A communiqué issued after the meeting noted that apart from the cancellation of results of cheats which has become the norm, such candidates should be restricted from future examinations.
