Gambia: ASI Manneh Continues Testimony in Ex-Immigration DG's Case

Assistant Superintendent of Immigration, Ebrima Manneh and fifth prosecutions witness in the "Abuse of office" trial involving Buba Sagnia, former Director General of the Gambia Immigration Department, yesterday continued to give evidence at the Banjul Magistrates' Court, Presided over by Principal Magistrate Hillary Abeke. Continuing with his testimony, Officer Commanding Prosecution Unit of the Immigration Department, Manneh, informed the court that he would be able to identify the Immigration Manual because of the features written on it such as the wordings "Immigration Manual".

After the identification of the Manual by the witness, the Director of Public Prosecutions, Hadi Saleh Barkum (S.H. Barkum), applied to tender the said manual in evidence as exhibit. The application was granted when no objection arose from defence counse,l Edward Sighatey, and the booklet was admitted and marked accordingly.
