Egypt: Sedqi Calls On Commanders and Officers to Develop Their Fighting Skills

The Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and the Minister of Defense and Military Production General Sedqi Sobhy stressed the importance of paying wider attention to specialized training for developing command and control skills in all units and formations. He underlined the importance of expanding cooperation among units and subsidiary fighting, administrative and technical units.

This came during the main phase of tactical project of the mobilization command center Taymour I2 which is carried out by the third field army within the framework of the annual plan for training by the armed forces formations and units.

Sedqi discussed with a number of the commanders and officers taking part in the tactical project on the decision making process for confronting sudden changes during the implementation of operations.

The Minister of Defense hailed the distinctive performance of command staff at all levels and the decision making process in dealing with urgent stances during the different stages of battle, calling on all commanders and officers at all levels to pay attention to developing fighting skills of filters for protecting national security saying they are the mainstay for building the armed forces.

The different stages of Taymour 12 project includes training commanders and the use of the command and control centers at night, and movement techniques.

The Minister of Defense honored a number of the commanders of the third field army for their dedication in undertaking their assignments as they have managed to detect and destroy 63 feddans cultivated with drug plantations in Sinai.

Sobhy inspected an exhibition of the arms and amunitions handed over by citizens in cooperation with chieftains in Sinai and the amunitions and explosive charges which have been seized during the crackdowns on terrorist hideouts.

The project was attended by Mahmoud Hegazy, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces and the commanders of the main corps of the armed forces.
