Malawian Airlines Slashes Domestic Flights Fares By 25 Percent

Lilongwe — Malawian Airlines Limited has slashed domestic flight fares by 25 percent as part of the Easter celebrations.

In a press statement made available to Malawi News Agency from the Airline, the Easter promotional fares are between the Capital, Lilongwe and the Commercial City of Blantyre effective Thursday, April 17 up to Easter Monday, April 2, 2014.

According to the media statement the promotional fares are intended to afford, particularly families to use air transport during the holiday at a very competitive rate.

Malawian Airlines has doubled daily flights between Lilongwe and Blantyre. It operates a 7:00 am flight out of Blantyre to Lilongwe with the return leg at 6:00 pm in the evening and from Lilongwe, the flight leaves for Blantyre at 8:00am and returns at 4pm.

Malawian Airlines Limited started its operations on January 31, 2014 and besides the domestic service, the airline flies to Johannesburg (South Africa), Lusaka (Zambia), Dar es Salaam (Tanzania) and Harare (Zimbabwe).
