Tanzanian Police Offer 10-Million Shilling Reward After Second Bomb Found in Arusha

Tanzanian police on Tuesday (April 15th) discovered a bomb at a bar at a busy bus station in Arusha, days after an explosion at Arusha Night Park bar injured at least 15 people, Tanzania's The Citizen reported.

Director of Criminal Investigations Issaya Mngulu announced a 10-million shilling ($6,110) reward for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in either incident.

"We are still doing our inquiries although preliminary investigations show that the bomb was locally made, according to our officers and experts from Tanzania People's Defence Forces," Mngulu said.

Police are collaborating with Interpol and other regional security bodies to investigate the recent bombing incidents in Arusha and to prevent any further attacks, he said.
