Nigeria: NNPC Injects 293 Million Litres of Petrol Into Market

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, and its downstream subsidiary, the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company, PPMC, have injected 293, 326, 011 litres of premium motor spirit, otherwise called petrol, into filling stations across the country .

The Corporation explained this was part of measures put in place to ensure a hitch free Easter celebration across the nation.

It said besides this figure, major and independent marketers were scheduled to supply additional 142,913,189 litres into the system.

The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division of the NNPC, Mr. Ohi Alegbe, stated that the NNPC, Major Marketers Association of Nigeria, MOMAN, Nigeria Independent Petroleum Company, NIPCO, and all other importers of petroleum products were trucking out petrol from their various marine and inland depots to stabilise the situation.
