ALL agro-vets in Western region operate illegally, the regional head of drug inspection Patrick Indika has said . He said agro-vet outlets in Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia and Bungoma counties operate without licenses.
"Section 28 of the Pharmacies and Poisons Board Act require anybody dealing in agro-vet products and mining for purposes of the same to obtain a license from the board," Indika told the Star in Kakamega town yesterday. He said six agro-vet operators in Vihiga county were arrested and charged in court for selling counterfeit products and operating without registtration.
