Angolan Ambassador Visits Major Trade Fair in Vietnam

Hanoi — The Angolan ambassador to Vietnam, João Manuel Bernardo, sided by other diplomats, visited on Wednesday the 24th edition of the international Fair of Vietnam.

Under the motto "For the Economic Community of ASEAN", the fair is displaying the industrial potentials of Vietnam, including agricultural machineries, electronic equipment, construction materials, textile products, medicines, beverages handicrafts and timber.

This is the major trade and interchange fair of Vietnam, which is held annually.

The event counts on the participation of companies from various countries such as South Korea, India, China and South Africa.

Angop learnt that the bilateral trade between Angola and Vietnam rose to USD 115 million in 2010, out of it USD 82 million correspond to the Vietnamese rice imported by Angola.

Vietnam also exports to Angola foodstuff, several chemical products, plastic, metals, papers, trucks, computers, electronic materials, various machineries, furniture and domestic appliances, among others.

On its turn, Angola exported to Vietnam timber and raw material for the manufacturing of fabrics.
