Nigeria: NFF Appoints Match-Fixing Investigator, Integrity Officer

Dr. Christian Emeruwa has been appointed Nigeria's Match-fixing Investigative Officer by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), on Wednesday.

NFF Media Officer, Ademola Olajire said the move was in line with recent trends by world football -governing body, FIFA.

Emeruwa, a doctorate degree holder in administration and organisation of sport, is the Special Assistant to the NFF General Secretary.

Also, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, a doctorate degree holder in sport administration was appointed as Integrity Officer.

In a letter dated 16th April, 2014 and addressed to all members of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF General Secretary, Barrister Musa Amadu stated: "Henceforth, all matters relating to match-fixing and corruption

in football within the territory of Nigeria should be reported to the officers mentioned.

"Members are all advised to recognise, resist and report all match-fixing and related matters with concrete evidence to the officers."
