Angola: Police Detain 37 Foreign Citizens for Illegal Prospecting of Diamonds

Cuito — The National Police detained throughout the week 37 foreign citizens who were involved in illegal prospecting of diamonds in the central Bié Province, ANGOP has learnt.

Speaking to ANGOP, the spokesman of the National Police in Bié, chief superintendant António Hossi, stressed that the foreign citizens come from D.R Congo, Mali and Congo Brazzaville.

During the same operation, the police carried out several apprehensions, which include means and material used in illegal prospecting work.
