Namibia: Former Karibib CEO Loses Dismissal Appeal

THE dismissal of Karibib Town Council former chief executive officer , Lydia Kandetu, in early 2012 was justified and fair, a judge ruled in the Labour Court in Windhoek last week.

Acting Judge Petrus Unengu made the finding in a judgement dismissing an appeal Kandetu lodged against a labour arbitrator's ruling in January 2013 against a complaint of unfair dismissal she had filed with the Office of the Labour Commissioner.
