Mozambique: PM Urges Scientific and Technological Research

Maputo — Mozambican Prime Minister Alberto Vaquina declared on Monday that institutions of higher education must encourage scientific and technological research so that students obtain relevant and good quality training that will contribute to a robust economy.

Speaking at a ceremony where six senior officials of the Higher Polytechnic Institutes in Gaza and Manica provinces took office, Vaquina said quality and relevance are key so that “training can respond to the problems of the country”.
